Court process over Azerbaijanis accused of fighting in Syria

On 29 September 2015 Baku Court of Grave Crimes has launched a preliminary hearing on the criminal case of Telman Bakirov and Mubariz Tagiyev, who are accused of fighting in Syria, APA reports.

The data about the accused persons were verified during the preliminary hearing. The court hearing is scheduled for October 6.  

As a result of the antiterrorist operations conducted by the Ministry of National Security, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan Telman Bakirov and Mubariz Tagiyev were detained as suspects over the creation of armed formations or groups, which are not provided by the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and also participation in their creation and activity.
