Preliminary investigation on R. Mirgadirov’s case concluded

Preliminary investigation on the case of imprisoned journalist Rauf Mirgadirov has concluded, APA reports with reference to Fuad Aghayev, a lawyer. Currently, the lawyers are now reviewing materials of the criminal case.

APA notes that Rauf Mirgadirov was imprisoned in Turkey on 19 April 2014 and then was deported to Azerbaijan. He was charged with treason (Article 274) and sentenced to three months’ pretrial detention. The term of his pretrial detention has been prolonged several times since.
