Arrest warrant for tourism agency director

Azerbaijan’s law enforcement bodies have issued an interational arrest warrant for a tourism agency director on charges of embezzlement on a large-scale, APA reports.

Ahmad Mammadov, 35, is charged under Article 178 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

According to information obtained by APA, Mammadov was a director of Happy Group travel agency in Azerbaijan. It is believed he embezzled about 300 thousand manats abusing the trust of several people.

One of the complainants told APA that Mammadov is also wanted by Russian law enforcement bodies on charges of fraud.
