Baku police name gold dealer murder detained
Police have revealed the names of those suspected of murdering a gold dealer in Baku, APA reports..
The murder committed under unknown circumstances in the capital’s Nasimi district was disclosed as a result of the urgent investigative and operational measures of law-enforcement bodies, the Baku Main Police Office and Prosecutor General’s Office said in a joint statement.
“Upon receiving information Jan.5, 2016 about the discovery of the body of Baku resident Maryam Nametzade with stab wounds in her apartment, law-enforcement forces with the participation of forensic experts examined the body and scene, seized materials as evidence,” the statement said.
As result of the measures taken, the deceased’s daughter Gunel Huseynova (1988), the deceased’s nephew Nijat Eyvazov (1998) and Jeyhun Asgarov (1997) were detained as suspects in the murder, said the statement.
A criminal case was launched on the fact under articles #120.2.4, 120.2.11 (deliberate murder, committed with special cruelty with the view of robbery) and #181.3.3 (robbery with causing grievous bodily harm of the victim) of the Criminal Code.
