Arrested an owner of Avis drugstore network

On 28 January 2016 Elmir Maharov, the owner of Avis pharmacies’ network,  was arrested by the officers of the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General’s Office, haqqin.az reports.

According to the information, on 29 Jan. 2016 Binagadi district court will consider a preventive measure in the form of his arrest.

The network of medical pharmacies Avis has been operating in Azerbaijan since January 1998. The first branch of the drugstore network İstanbul was opened at this year. The company has opened 10 drugstores in Baku for eight years.
