Director of company declared in international search

Azerbaijan’s law-enforcement authorities have issued an international arrest warrant for Kaya Heyse, 42, a Turkish national, who is charged with tax evasion, APA reports.

Kaya said in his statement that he had run a construction company in Azerbaijan from 2010 to 2014.

“In 2014, our company was shut down and I returned to Turkey. I had no tax debt to the Azerbaijani state. I had an Azerbaijani employee engaging in this type of affairs. I’ll try to clarify the problem with him,” he said.

Kaya added that he is currently involved in independent journalistic activity in Turkey.
