Statistics of traffic accidents during holidays

The statistics on traffic accidents in Azerbaijan during holidays have been made public, reports APA with reference to Chief of the public affairs department of the State Traffic Police Office Kamran Aliyev. According to him, 51 traffic accidents occurred in the country from March 19 to 25. Consequently, 15 people died and 80 injured.

11 of the traffic accidents occurred resulting in pedestrian crashes, which left 7 people dead and 7 injured.

During holidays, 62,000 drivers violated traffic rules. Nearly 40,000 out of the violation were due to overspeed.

Aliyev called on drivers to be careful and not to overspeed.
