Detained for illegally crossing of a border

Azerbaijan’s border guards detained French citizen Malavialle Olivier Alain, 37, for attempting to illegally cross the border from Georgia on April 5, the State Border Service of Azerbaijan told APA on April 13, 2016.

The French citizen has been repeatedly prosecuted for illegal activities, violence and theft, damage to public property, violation of public order and use of drugs, said the French embassy in Azerbaijan.

The detainee was handed over to the State Migration Service of Azerbaijan.
