Minister: More than 3,000 criminal groups neutralized in Azerbaijan over last 13 years

Azerbaijan is prominent in Europe with the high level of stability and public security, Minister of Internal Affairs Ramil Usubov said on 2 July 2016 during an event dedicated to the 98th anniversary of Azerbaijani police, APA reported.

According to the minister, 88 percent crimes have been disclosed over these years. 

“More than 3,000 criminal groups responsible for grave and especially grave crimes have been neutralized and more than 15,000 firearms seized and handed over. 88 percent of the aforementioned crimes have not posed a public threat but the remaining 12 percent were grave and especially grave crimes,” Minister said.
