Criminal proceedings suspended in case of head of Azerbaijani State Committee’s Office
Criminal proceedings have been ceased in the case of Safar Imanov, former head of the Office of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, as he is wanted for fleeing the country, APA reports.
Safar Imanov is accused of embezzling $170,000 from a citizen under the guise of granting him/her a position of executive authority deputy head.
The Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General launched a criminal case on the fact under articles 178.3.2 (fraud on a large scale) and 308.2 (abuse of power) of the Criminal Code.
