Court process over “NIDA” member B. Mammadov
Baku Court of Grave Crimes on November 4, 2016 held a preliminary hearing in the case of NIDA Civic Movement member Bayram Mammadov charged with drug trafficking, APA informs.
The court specified the defendant’s profile data.
Attorney Elchin Sadigov asked for termination of the case or replacement of Mammadov’s pretrial detention with house arrest.
The court denied the petition.
The court scheduled the hearing to November 11, 2016.
Bayramov faces charges under Article 234 (illegal purchase, storage or selling of narcotics) of the Criminal Code. The Khatai district court sentenced him to four months’ pretrial detention. A few days ago, his imprisonment term was extended by two months.
