Police detained criminal group

Baku police have detained a criminal group charged with multiple thefts and drug trafficking, APA reports.

As a result of operational search activities, group members – previously convicted Absheron resident Feyruz Novruzov, Baku residents Natiq Isayev, Ismayil Yusifov, Neftchala district residents Vusal Asgarov, Shahmar Abdulov and Zangilan district resident Vuqar Salimov were detained.  

Heroin and opium were seized from them.  

The investigation made it clear that on 27 September 2016, Vugar Salimov and Feyruz Novruzov stole 4,200 manats from the office of Qanun Publishing House LCC, owned by Baku resident Shahbaz Khuduoglu. Moreover, it was revealed that Vugar Salimov stole a safe containing 13,000 manats from the office of Qanun Publishing House on 26 September 2016.
