Court verdict to participant of NIDA

On 16 January 2016 in Baku Court on Grave Crimes has completed trial on criminal case arrested of Elgiz Gakhraman, a participant of NIDA Civil Movement.

In court process chaired by Judge A. Majidov, E. Gakhraman told his last speech and confirmed his innocence.

Further court adopted a judgement, according which E. Gakhraman was sentenced to 5.6 years imprisonment.

APA notes that on 13 August 2016 he was arrested with decision of Narimanov District Court for four months.

Gakhraman is asccused on Article 234.4.3 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan Republic (illegal producing, manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation or sale of narcotic substances, psychotropic substances).
