Judge does not satisfy of Ali Insanov’s complaint

Baku Court of Appeal has examined a complaint of ex-minister of health Ali Insanov in judgement of the Garadag District Court concerning the term of his arrest. According to haqqin.az, this was said by Ali Insanov’s lawyer Togrul Babayev.

Judge of Ilgar Murguzov has not satisfied the complaint and left in force of the first instance’s decision.

Ali Insanov was arrested on October 2005. He was accused in embezzlement of public funds and organization of illegal privatization of the state assets. On April 2007 with decision of Baku Court on Grave Crimes was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment.   

On 24 August 2016 new criminal case was instituted under Articles 234.1 (Illegal purchase or storage without a purpose of selling of narcotics or psychotropic substances in a quantity (amount) exceeding necessary for personal consumption), 315.2 (Application of the violence dangerous to life or health, concerning a persons specified in article 315.1 of the present Code) and 317.2.1 (Threat on application of violence concerning employees of criminal – executive establishments or investigator isolators, and also concerning condemned with a purpose to prevent his correction or from revenge for execution of public duties)ю
