The judges of the Hague Tribunal for War Crimes in Former Yugoslavia rejected a defense petition of General Ratko Mladic to the withdrawal of a Dutch judge Alphons Orie.

R. Mladic is accused of crimes against humanity.

Withdrawal of the judge Alphons Orie has been declared due to the fact that he had previously presided over the trial of Mladic subordinates and all these processes resulted in a guilty verdict.

According to the counsel defenders of Mladic, for this reason, judge Alphons Orie can not be impartial in hearings.
