Azerbaijan detains Georgian national who tried to hide in Azerbaijan after committing crime

Azerbaijan’s border guards have detained 28-year-old Georgian citizen Gamin Khalafov, who attempted to hide in Azerbaijan after committing a crime in his country, the State Border Service told APA on April 26, 2017.

During the inspection of the administrative building of the fish farm in Shishtapa village of Shamkir district, where he was hiding, a PM pistol, a pistol clip, and two 9-mm cartridges were found and seized.

The investigation is ongoing.
