Azerbaijan police detain two charged with making counterfeit money
The Azerbaijani police have detained two men charged with making counterfeit money, law enforcement agencies told APA.
According to information, two men tried to pay with fake money the shopping made in one the shops. After receiving the information, the police detained these persons. They are Jalilabad district residents Ramal Abulhasanov and Shahaddin Musayev.
During the inspection of Ramal’s car, 5 AZN100 banknotes were found and seized by the police.
In another operation, 240 AZN100 banknotes were seized by Jalilabad District Police Department from Jalilabad’s Shikhlar village resident Safa Garashov.
Both facts are under investigation. A criminal case has been instituted under Article 204 of the Criminal Code (manufacturing or selling of counterfeit money or securities).
