A. Lapshin sentenced to three years imprisonment

Blogger Alexander Lapshin has been found guilty and sentenced to three years imprisonment in a general regime colony, our own correspondent reports from the courtroom, haqqin.az reports.

During the trial the state prosecutor demanded for Alexander Lapshin 6.5 years in prison.

However, Article 281.2 (appeals against the state) has been excluded from the indictment. The court noted that during the investigative measures this accusation was not confirmed.

As a result, Alexander Lapshin was found guilty under Article 318.2 (illegal crossing of the state border) and sentenced to three years in prison.
