Convicted for forgery and sale of “orders” and “medals” of the Patriotic War

Trial on the criminal case of former employee of Azərsuvenir LLC Aydin Bagirov took place in the Yasamal district court, oxu.az reports.

The citizen was prosecuted by the State Security Service for organizing the illegal sale of various orders and medals, as well as other state awards established in connection with the historic victory in the 44-day Patriotic War.

A. Bagirov, abusing his official powers as a person responsible for technology and quality control in the manufacture of orders and medals in the above-mentioned LLC, made fake samples of medals at the enterprise for the liberation of the city of Shusha, Sugovushan, Kelbajar, Gubadly, Zangilan, Fuzuli, Lachyn, Aghdam, Khojavend, Jebrayil, “For Courage”, orders “Independence”, “Azerbaijani flag”, “Rashadat” and others, and then sold.

The court found A. Bagirov guilty under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and sentenced him to imprisonment for a period of 2 years and 6 months with deprivation of the right to hold managerial and financially responsible positions in state bodies and local self-government bodies for a similar period.
