Preliminary investigation into the murder case has completed

The preliminary investigation in the criminal case of Kamandar Mammadov, Mais Abiyev and Nurlan Janiyev, accused of beating and murdering an employee of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, has ended, oxu.az reports.

The criminal case, sent to the Baku Court for Grave Crimes for consideration, was transferred to the proceedings of Judge Irada Hasanzade.

The timing of the preparatory meeting is not yet known.

So, on the evening of June 24, 2021, a conflict occurred on the road near the “January 20” roundabout between S. Mammadov, who was driving a truck belonging to the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, and persons in another car. The passenger car began to pursue the truck, blocking its path on Ashug Molla Juma Street in the Narimanov district of the capital. After forcing the driver and passenger out of the car, the three men started beating them. Mammadov died on the spot from his injuries.

Chevrolet driver K. Mammadov (born in 1991) and passengers M. Abiyev (born in 1999) and N. Janiyev (born in 1989), who fled the scene, were detained by police on the same day as suspects.
