Judgment in the case of the murder of a relative

The Ganja Court of Grave Crimes read out the verdict against Seymur Rafiyev, accused of murdering his aunt’s husband Yusif Damirov (born 1953), oxu.az reports. According to the verdict, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

S. Rafiyev was charged under Articles 120.2.4 (premeditated murder committed with special cruelty or generally dangerous methods), 120.2.5 (premeditated murder committed out of mercenary motives or for hire) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The deceased Y. Damirov taught the history of Azerbaijan at the Ganja Medical College.

According to the indictment, S. Rafiyev killed a relative because of a debt of 310 manats.
