Fraud case sent to court

An investigation into the illegal actions of Mazahir Nasibov has been conducted at the Main Department for Combat to Corruption under the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan. The materials of the criminal case have been sent to the Baku Court for Grave Crimes for consideration, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the country’s Prosecutor General’s Office.

During the investigation, it was established that M. Nasibov promised 92 low-income citizens to provide apartments in a multi-storey residential building built by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection for members of the public association “Azerbaijan Society of the Visually Impaired” in Baku. Entering deliberately false information into official documents, the attacker appropriated a total of 5,781,000 manats.

M. Nasibov was charged under article 178.3.2 (fraud committed with causing large damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
