Suspects arrested for counterfeit currency, theft and drug trafficking

Over the past 15 days of this year, officers of the Surakhani District Police Department of Baku in the villages of Hovsan, Amirjan, Bulbul, Yeni Gunashli detained 45 people suspected of drug trafficking, reports the information Internet portal oxu.az.

So, the detainees Ramin Askerov, Igor Romanov, Yusif Hasanov, Rahman Jafarov, Rashad Huseynov, Tarlan Abbasov were found to have various narcotic and psychotropic substances, as well as medicines prohibited for sale.

Police officers also detained Emin Jafarov, suspected of stealing from five apartments in the Yeni Gunashli village, and Eljan Shahverdiyev, of making counterfeit money and trying to distribute it.

Counterfeit banknotes worth 600 manats were found and confiscated from the latter. All facts are under investigation.
