Detained for fraud

On the basis of citizens’ appeals, employees of the Shamkir District Police Department detained a resident of the Shakhrisad Mammadova district suspected of fraud, previously convicted of a similar crime, the oxu.az information Internet portal reports.

During the investigation, it was found that she fraudulently embezzled 50,000 manats, promising 15 citizens assistance in finding employment and obtaining a pension.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under article 178 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Citizens who have suffered from the illegal actions of Sh. Mammadova are asked to report this to the service 102 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Shamkir District Police Department or local law enforcement agencies.
