Previously arrested businessman H. Mammadov released

By the decision of the Yasamal district court, businessman Hafiz Mammadov was released, haqqin.az reports with reference to the defendant’s lawyer Ismail Kangarli.

The decision to change the measure of restraint was made on the basis of the lawyer’s petition. H. Mammadov was released from the courtroom.

It should be noted that H. Mammadov was accused of tax evasion.

As haqqin.az reported earlier, there are many contradictions in the case of businessman Hafiz Mammadov. As already noted, his debt to the State Social Protection Fund was calculated in the amount of 1,462,000 manats. However, more than one million manat of this amount refers to the first quarter of 2013, as well as to 2014 and 2015. The term for criminal liability for these amounts has expired.

According to the Criminal Code and the decision of the Constitutional Court, the investigating authority could not bring charges for these amounts.

Another contradiction was that one of the companies involved in the criminal case overpaid taxes in the amount of two million manats.
