Criminal case of man accused of murdering wife files to court

A preliminary investigation into the case of Vilayat Mammadov, who is accused of killing his wife, has been completed in Baku, report.az. informs.

The criminal case was sent for consideration to the Baku Court for Grave Crimes. The case will be investigated under the chairmanship of Judge Samir Aliyev.

The date of the preliminary hearing has not yet known.

The incident was recorded in October 2021 in the Sahil village of the Garadagh district of the capital. So, Mammadova Aliya, born in 1990, was killed by her husband Mamedov V., born in 1985.

The cause of the incident was a quarrel between a couple on the basis of personal relationships. V.Mammadov strangled A.Mammadova with an iron wire.

A criminal case was initiated under article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code. V. Mammadov was detained as a suspect and is under investigation.
