Information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the detention of the head of the NGO R. Mammadov

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released information about the detention of Rasim Mammadov, chairman of the Public Association Coalition of Public Control, APA reports.

In particular, the information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs states that on September 17, 2021, Rasim Mammadov, having come to the Azmetal LLC located in the city of Sumgayit, began to insult the deputy director of the LLC Ramiz Huseynov with obscene language and demanded that he go out into the courtyard of the building.

After R. Huseynov went down to the courtyard of the building, R. Mammadov again used obscene language against R. Huseynov, after which he hit Sabir Ismayilov, a storekeeper of LLC, on the head with a mobile phone, thereby inflicting bodily injuries of varying severity on him.

In fact, the Sumgayit city police department conducted an appropriate investigation, as a result of which a criminal case was initiated under article 221.3 of the Criminal Code. On February 3, Rasim Mammadov was detained on suspicion of committing this crime.
