Persons who incited citizens to give bribes arrested

Persons who deceived citizens under the pretext of the illegal organization “New Council of Public Control” and incited them to give bribes were arrested, APA reports quoting the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office.

So, on the basis of an appeal about illegal acts committed by Ramil Shukurov, previously convicted of fraud and forgery of documents, together with other persons involved by him in the illegally created New Council of Public Control, which did not pass state registration, by employees of the Main Department  for Combating to Corruption under the General the prosecutor carried out operational-search activities.

During a search in the office of this organization, numerous evidences of the illegal acts of R. Shukurov and other members of this illegal organization were found, grounds for suspicion were identified that members of this organization embezzled donations collected from individual citizens under the pretext of solving the problems of low-income families, and also assisting the families of martyrs and participants in the war, committed other crimes.

In fact, a case was initiated under articles of the Criminal Code 178.2.1 (fraud committed by a group of persons by prior agreement), 178.2.2 (fraud committed repeatedly), 178.2.3 (fraud committed by a person using his official position), 178.2.4 (fraud committed with the infliction of particularly large damage), 32.4, 312.2 (Giving to a person directly or indirectly, personally or through an intermediary material and other benefits, benefits or), according to a court decision, a measure of restraint in the form of arrest was chosen.

Investigative actions on this fact are ongoing.
