Person arrested for paying with counterfeit banknotes

A man was detained in Beylagan for paying with counterfeit banknotes at a petrol station, report.az informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of the operational-search activities carried out by the Beylagan district police department, on December 28, 2021, a resident of the Agdam district, previously convicted E. Suleymanov, was detained on suspicion of handing over to a citizen five counterfeit banknotes with a face value of 200 manats.

It was established that on December 23, 2021, Suleymanov paid with a fake 200 manat bill at a gas station in the village of 2nd Ashygly, filling the car with 10 liters of fuel.
