The Ministry of Finance in 2021 revealed unreasonable payments in the amount of more than one hundred million manats

As a result of the activities carried out by the State Financial Control Service of the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan in 2021, excessive and unjustified payments in the amount of AZN 103.6 million were revealed in 144 facilities, APA reports citing the country’s Finance Ministry.

Thus, 59 control measures were carried out in accordance with the work plan of the State Financial Control Service, 77 – according to the decisions and letters of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Security Service of the Republic, 8 – according to citizens’ appeals in the central executive authorities, their subordinate structures, state legal entities and municipal bodies.

For committing administrative offenses under Articles 410.1 and 410.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences, 108 officials were fined 82,000 manats.

In order to eliminate the shortcomings identified as a result of control activities carried out in the reporting period, and to prevent similar cases in other organizations, as well as to take action against guilty officials, letters were sent to the central executive authorities, relevant local executive authorities and financial authorities.
