Wanted man extradited to Azerbaijan

In accordance with the requirements of the Convention of January 22, 1993 “On legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal cases”, the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation granted the request of the General Prosecutor’s Office for the extradition of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mustafayev Royal Farman oglu, APA reports citing press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the country.

Thus, an investigation into a criminal case pending in the Shamkir district police department established reasonable suspicions that R. Mustafayev had had sexual intercourse with a minor.

R. Mustafayev was charged as an accused under Article 152.1 of the Criminal Code, on April 23, 2021, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against him, he was put on the wanted list.

On August 24, 2021, R. Mustafayev was detained in Russia, on February 9, 2022, accompanied by a special escort of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, Royal Mustafayev was taken from the Russian Federation to Azerbaijan.
