The head of the municipality embezzled 250 thousand manats

In Azerbaijan, the former head of the municipality embezzled 250,000 manats, APA reports. This is stated in the annual report of the body exercising administrative control over the activities of municipalities, which will be submitted for discussion in the Regional Affairs Committee of the Milli Majlis on February 18, 2022.

On the fact that the former chairman of the Balajari municipality of Binagadi district misappropriated 250,000 manats allocated from the state budget for the implementation of the subvention project, a criminal case was initiated in the Main Department for Combating to Corruption  under the Prosecutor General under Article 308.1 of the Criminal Code.
