The head of the company that blocked the road to Baku arrested

The head of R Group Azerbaijan, Ramish Jafarov, who is engaged in cargo transportation services and was recently arrested in a criminal case, received many complaints during the investigation, the report.az information Internet portal reports.

Thus, R. Jafarov appropriated a cargo worth more than 37 thousand US dollars belonging to a citizen of Belarus Yuri Gnoyanik, caused material damage to citizens Anar Iskenderov, Elman Akperov, Iftikhar Mehdiyev and Alikram Mammadov during the transportation of goods and products totaling 68 thousand US dollars.

It was also established that Alim Huseynov filed a complaint in connection with similar illegal actions.

On the morning of February 17, 2022, the drivers of R Group Azerbaijan blocked the road on Heydar Aliyev Avenue. As a result, an artificial traffic jam formed for several hours. In connection with the incident, R. Jafarov, Miralam Mammadov, Bakhtiyar Mammadov and Elvin Malikov were detained by the police.

On the fact, the investigation department of the Narimanov district police department initiated a criminal case under Article 233 (organization of actions that contribute to the violation of public order or active participation in such actions) of the Criminal Code.

By a court decision, R. Jafarov was arrested for 2 months, the other persons – for 30 days.
