Azerbaijan puts Kocharyan and Sargsyan on the wanted list

Former presidents of Armenia Kocharyan Robert Sedrakovich and Sargsyan Serzh Azatovich were prosecuted under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code and put on the wanted list, APA reports quoting the head of the Special Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan, senior adviser to justice Emil Tagiyev.
E. Tagiyev noted that since February 1988, these persons, in order to incite national enmity, hatred between the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples, organized and held meetings in organizations and institutions of the city with the participation of workers who were Armenians by nationality: “They declared that Karabakh belongs to the Armenians and only Armenians should live there, called for the dismissal of Azerbaijanis from their jobs, forcible eviction from the city and Nagorno-Karabakh, burning of their houses, calling themselves representatives of state power, in violation of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, annexing the former Shahumyan region on September 02, 1991, announced “Nagorno – the Karabakh Republic”, transferred all power to the regional Council of People’s Deputies and its executive committee. They also made an illegal decision to terminate the laws and the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan in these territories.”
According to him, for these actions and the commission of other crimes, these persons were prosecuted under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code and put on the wanted list.
