Detained a drug courier with a large amount of drugs

More than 28 kg of various narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were found and confiscated from a resident of Astara, haqqin.az reports.

As a result of operational-search activities carried out by employees of the Astara district police department, a resident of the Astara district, Teymur Aliyev, who was there as a passenger, was detained in a car providing taxi services.

It is noted that 11 kg 530 g of heroin, 2 kg 460 g of opium, 10 kg 545 g of marijuana, 4 kg 220 g of methamphetamine and 4560 methadone tablets belonging to T. Aliyev were found and seized in the cargo compartment of this car. It was established that Aliyev purchased narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances through a drug dealer living abroad and had to ensure their delivery to the indicated places.

The fact is being investigated.
