Person put on international wanted list extradited to Azerbaijan

Seymur Jabbarov, who was put on the international wanted list, has been extradited from Ukraine to Azerbaijan, haqqin.az reports citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Thus, in accordance with the requirements of national legislation and international treaties, including the Minsk Convention “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters”, within the framework of bilateral relations with the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan made a request for the extradition of a person committed a crime in the territory of Azerbaijan, in order to bring him to criminal liability.

The criminal case is being executed by the Ganja court. Jabbarov Seymur Ibrahim oglu is accused of embezzlement of other people’s property entrusted to him using his official position, which caused significant material damage.

In this connection, S. Jabbarov was put on the international wanted list.

He was extradited from Ukraine to Azerbaijan on November 2, 2021, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
