Person put on international wanted list extradited to Azerbaijan

On the basis of the petition of the Department of International Legal Cooperation of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with the Convention “On Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters” dated January 22, 1993, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine decided to extradite a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan Adil Orujov, APA reports. 

APA reports that in a criminal case being investigated by the Agstafa district prosecutor’s office, Adil Orujev was brought to trial as an accused under Article 179.3.2 (Large-scale misappropriation or embezzlement) of the Criminal Code, he was put on the international wanted list.

In January 2022, Adil Orujev was detained on the territory of Ukraine, a measure of restraint in the form of detention was chosen against him, on February 24, 2022, he was taken to Azerbaijan, accompanied by a special escort of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
