Criminal case initiated against the officials of two companies

A criminal case has been initiated in Azerbaijan against the officials of the two companies, reports the Internet portal report.az with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

So, the appeals of citizens in connection with the violation of labor rights, as well as information received from the State Labor Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, were considered.

As a result of the proceedings held in the Office of Proceedings Out of Criminal Prosecution of the General Prosecutor’s Office, cases of serious violation of the labor rights of a large number of employees by SRS Group (food production) in the Yasamal district of Baku and D. Fruits Kendli Teserrufatı LLC (collection of fruits) in the Guba region.

In fact, criminal cases have been opened under Articles 162-1.1 (violation of safety regulations or other labor protection rules committed by a person who was responsible for observing these rules, if this negligently caused serious or less serious harm to human health) and 308.1 ( abuse of power) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the cases were transferred to the Yasamal district prosecutor’s office and the prosecutor’s office of the Guba district for investigation.

At the same time, the proceedings initiated in connection with the identified administrative offenses were sent to the relevant district courts for consideration.
