Court judgement to a former director of the central district hospital

The trial of the former director of the legal entity of public law “Agjabadi Central District Hospital” Fovzi Tairov has completed, oxu.az reports.

In the Lankaran Court for Grave Crimes, at the trial chaired by Judge Hammed Nuriyev, a verdict was read, according to which F. Tairov was found guilty of repeatedly receiving a bribe and sentenced to 8 years in prison.

According to official information, during the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that, while working in this position, F. Tairov received 28,400 manats from 24 persons (500 – 2,000 from each) as a bribe in 2019-2020 for sending documents of patients to the appropriate structures for the purpose of assigning them a disability.

In addition, F. Tairov was accused of repeatedly receiving a bribe in the amount of 3,000 manats for employment in a medical institution, of which he was the head.

Based on the collected evidence, Fovzi Tairov was charged under article 311.3.2 (repeated bribe taking) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
