Drug trafficker detained during operation by border guards

Officers of the State Border Service (SBS) carried out an operation, during which there was a detainee, reports the information Internet portal report.az, citing the press center of the SBS.

So, on March 2022 at 21:05, a VAZ-2107 car with registration number 19-BK-024 drove up to the territory of the border post of the Horadiz Border Troops near the village of Amirzeidli, Beylagan district.

After the order of the border guards to “Stand”, the unknown person tried to escape from the territory, but was detained. It was established that this is a resident of the Fizuli region Mammadov Tahir Mammadgulu oglu, born in 1961. During the inspection of a sports bag and package belonging to Mammadov, drugs with a total weight of 14 kg 200 gr (5800 gr of marijuana, 4200 gr of heroin, 2100 gr of opium), as well as psychotropic pills (1900 methadone-40, 290 “Gabaprel 300”) were found and seized in them. 

During the investigation, it was found that the detainee had previously been convicted of a similar crime.
