The term of arrest of Salim Muslimov has been extended

By the decision of the Sabail District Court, the term of arrest of the former Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Salim Muslimov, has been extended for another five months, oxu.az reports.

He is charged under Articles 308.2 (abuse of official authority with grave consequences), 311.3.2 and 311.3.3 (repeated bribery on a large scale) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

The Sabail District Court chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest against him.

The State Security Service investigated numerous facts of abuses committed during the period of work of S. Muslimov as Minister of Labor in the field of organizing the rehabilitation and social protection of people with disabilities and children with disabilities, exercising state control over the activities of employers on labor, employment and social protection population.

In addition, information was received that S. Muslimov repeatedly took large bribes in connection with the results of inspections conducted by the State Labor Inspectorate of the Ministry during the construction and reconstruction of industrial, social and other purposes, compliance with labor protection requirements and issuance of permits for their operation.
