The Hague Court begins proceedings in connection with hostilities in Ukraine

The first meeting of the International Criminal Court in the Hague on the case of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will be held today, March 7, 2022, haqqin.az reports with reference to UNN. This was announced by a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Fyodor Venislavsky.

The main goal is the need to outline further steps for fixing, evaluating and investigating crimes, as well as preparing directly for the trial.

According to Venislavsky, “we will get the result within a few months, a year, or even several years, because this is a very thorough activity. But we will get the result in the form of specific verdicts of the court – the International Criminal Court against Russian war criminals.

In turn, RIA Novosti reports that on March 7, 2022, the Ukrainian side will present its arguments, on the eighth – the Russian side.
