Trial to consider the appeal of E. Hasanov

The trial to consider the appeal of former Ambassador Eldar Hasanov has begun, APA reports.

At the preliminary session of the Baku Court of Appeal, chaired by Judge Elmar Rahimov, the personal data of the accused were clarified.

Eldar Hasanov’s lawyer, Valeh Mekhraliyev, said that a petition had been filed in court to replace the defendant’s measure of restraint with house arrest. The defenders then asked the court to conduct a partial investigation. Several more motions in the criminal case were also raised at the meeting. The court did not grant any of the motions.

The trial is scheduled for March 18, 2022.
