A measure of restraint in the form of arrest has been chosen against the former head of the housing maintenance department of the Ministry of Defense, Fikrat Mirzoyev, APA reports.

Thus, the presentation of the investigative body was considered in the Baku Military Court. The court satisfied the submission and chose Fikret Mirzoev as a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of 4 months.

Fikret Mirzoev was detained as part of a criminal case initiated by the State Security Service. He is accused of embezzlement on an especially large scale. F. Mirzoev was charged under Article 179.4 of the Criminal Code. It should be noted that Fikret Mirzoev was relieved of his post two years ago.

Recall, the State Security Service continues to investigate the criminal case on the facts of misappropriation by the Ministry of Defense. Earlier, the head of the Finance and Budget Department of the Defense Ministry, Major General Nizami Mammadov, and a number of officials were arrested.
