20 drug trafficking suspects detained

As a result of operational activities in Lankaran over the past month, 20 people involved in drug trafficking and theft were detained, oxu.az reports with reference to the Lankaran regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

Thus, thanks to operational-search measures carried out by employees of the Lankaran regional police department, 20 local residents were detained on suspicion of participating in drug trafficking.

During a body search, packaged drugs, psychotropic substances and electronic scales were found and confiscated from them. It was also found that some of the detainees were engaged in theft.

According to the information, two of them stole money from a 72-year-old resident of the city of Lankaran, and six more committed numerous thefts from houses and objects located in the region.
