Another lawsuit filed against V. Safarli

Another lawsuit has been filed against the former executive director of the now abolished State Media Development Support Fund Vugar Safarli, oxu.az reports.

Citizen Bayram Garashov filed a civil suit with the Khatai District Court.

He said that in 2018-2020 he was a worker on the construction of a house of journalists in the Sabail region. However, the man, despite the official registration, did not receive a salary from the company.

After the arrest of V. Safarli, it was established that, according to the documents, B. Garashov’s salary was paid taking into account compulsory insurance. According to the lawsuit, it turned out that in 2018-2020 the plaintiff’s income amounted to about 20,000 manats.

The civil suit has been submitted to Judge Shakhriyar Aliyev. The date of the hearing has not yet been released.
