The State Border Service seized a large amount of narcotic drugs in the course of operations carried out in recent days, APA reports.

In the course of ongoing border and operational-search activities in the field of ensuring reliable protection of the state border, countering the illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, the State Border Service of the country at the border detachments “Horadiz” and “Geytepe” has recently stopped smuggling from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan Republic of narcotic drugs with a total weight of 34 kilograms 370 grams, 3557 pcs. psychotropic substances and 957 pcs. medicines.

On the facts, the necessary operational and investigative measures are underway.
