Police detained drug dealer

Employees of the State Traffic Police Department of the Lankaran District Police Department stopped a Mercedes-Benz in the city, as its driver did not use a seat belt, oxu.az reports with reference to the regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the check, police officers suspected that Rovshan Ajalov, a resident of Baku, who was driving, was driving a vehicle while intoxicated, so he was sent for a medical examination.

The examination established that R. Ajalov was under the influence of a psychotropic substance. During a personal search, marijuana and electronic scales were found on him, and during the inspection of the vehicle, more than 1 kg of heroin and more than 5 kg of marijuana were hidden in a cache.

During the preliminary investigation, it turned out that he purchased the drugs from a foreign drug dealer and had to deliver them to the capital for sale.

The matter is under investigation.
