Former officials convicted of bribery

The judgement was given to the former chairman of the medical and social expert commission No. 7 of the State Agency for Medical and Social Expertise and Rehabilitation Oruj Mammadov and the former chief specialist of the Absheron district department of the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan Munavvar Jabbarova, oxu.az reports.

O. Mammadov was sentenced to 6 years in prison by the decision of the Sumgayit Court for Grave Crimes, M. Jabbarova was given a suspended sentence.

On December 17, 2020, O. Mammadov was charged under Articles 311.2 (receiving a bribe by an official for illegal actions (inaction) and 312-1.1 (illegal influence on the decision of an official (trading in authority) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
