Woman suspected of fraud

As a result of operational-search activities carried out by employees of the Main Department of Criminal Investigation and the police department of Mingachevir, based on complaints from citizens, a resident of Baku, Shalala Ismayilova, was detained on suspicion of major fraud, oxu.az reports citing the Sheki regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the investigation, it turned out that the woman appropriated a total of about 30,000 manats from 10 people, promising them assistance in finding employment, assigning social assistance and pensions.

The detainee confessed to the crime. She was brought to trial as a defendant.

A criminal case has been initiated on this fact, investigative measures are ongoing.

Sh.Ismayilova’s involvement in similar crimes in other cities and regions of the republic is not ruled out. Citizens who have become victims of her illegal actions can report this by contacting the Call Center 102 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Mingachevir City Police Department, as well as other local police agencies.
